The President in 3D

The folks from the Smithsonian recently payed Barack Obama a visit to recreate the President in 3D.

3D scanning technologies were used to capture the most accurately detailed bust of a Head of State. Previously, presidential busts have been recreated as an artistic interpretation. Now, millions of measurements are able to be combined to accurately reproduce the actual lines and shapes of what exists in reality!

These technologies are a major contributor to what is being called the "Third Industrial Revolution."
